Introduction & Commitment
Economic independence strengthens women’s voices within families and communities. HIWYA mobilizes marginalized women into legally recognized Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to enhance leadership, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion.
We are committed to empowering women to control their own resources and participate actively in decision-making processes.
Key Program Interventions
Savings & Credit Revolving Funds: Establishing structured contribution systems that provide access to micro-loans.
Entrepreneurship Training: Capacity building in small business management and income-generating activities.
Leadership Development: Strengthening women’s participation in community decision-making.
Advocacy Integration: Linking economic empowerment with abandonment of harmful practices such as FGM.
Capital Mobilization Support: Facilitating access to seed funding and community-based financial systems.
Sustaining Financial Independence
By promoting structured savings models and transparent governance within SHGs, HIWYA fosters long-term financial resilience and social transformation for women-led households.
